Benidorm Restaurants and Dining

(Benidorm, Costa Blanca, Spain)

Being a major tourist resort with miles of sandy beaches, it is not surprising that Benidorm offers such an enormous number of restaurants and dining venues, catering to all tastes. Restaurants in Benidorm specialise in dishes from all over the world, with Chinese, Indian, Italian, Mexican and seafood restaurants, together with a number of more traditional Spanish restaurants and fine dining, particularly around the Old Town district.

With a steady influx of tourists, restaurants in Benidorm also cater for those with a less adventurous palate, with plenty of English-style restaurants, particularly around the Place de la Constitutión, serving steaks, fish and chips, salads and other dishes, such as the classic English fry-up. Benidorm also contains a host of fast-food restaurants, for those looking to eat quickly, with burgers, fries, pizzas and chicken dishes.

Where to Eat

Many of Benidorm's beachfronts are lined with restaurants, cafés and bars, offering dining with some of the area's most spectacular views. During the best weather, beachfront restaurants often provide al fresco dining and outdoor terraces.

Central hotels in Benidorm generally feature good, reasonably priced restaurants and are usually also open to non-guests. Many of Benidorm's hotel restaurants provide buffet-style lunches, particularly on Sundays, which are always good value.

Those visiting Benidorm who enjoy a more traditional Spanish atmosphere should head to the many Tapas bars situated along the street of Santo Domingo, otherwise known as 'Tapas Alley'. Designed to accompany wine and beer, Tapas are small, tasty snacks, such as olives, cheeses, potato chips and kebabs.

The Levante and Rincón de Loix areas of Benidorm are particularly popular with tourists and numerous restaurants can be found in these neighbouring regions. Dining venues here include noodle bars, seafood restaurants, fish and chip takeaways, fast-food outlets, bars serving 'pub grub' style dishes, and many other restaurants. With such great competition, most restaurants in this part of Benidorm are extremely inexpensive, even in the best waterfront locations, with wine often being included in the overall price and menus provided in several languages. Beach bars and restaurants in Benidorm's Levante district can be particularly lively spots, especially as night time approaches.
