Although the Benidorm area may not be known for its arts and culture, a number of popular museums and art galleries do exist here and provide an appealing alternative to more mainstream theme parks. One of the most popular of these attractions in the town, the Wax Museum (Museo de Cera) is always a hit with tourists and contains many fun waxwork models of celebrities and famous characters throughout history.

Offering an insight into the famous history of the Benidorm and Alicante area, the Agricultural Museum (Museo Agricola) is worthy of a visit, while for art lovers, a trip to the House Museum is in order.


House Museum
The town's main art gallery, the House Museum can be found in a historic building, dating back to the end of the 19th century. With many paintings, sculptures and seasonal exhibitions, the House Museum is situated in the centre of Benidorm and is also known for its appealing architecture.

Agricultural Museum (Museo de Agricola)

Containing a wealth of historic farming tools and equipment, including old horse-drawn ploughs, one of the main highlights at Benidorm's Agricultural Museum is the water mill, complete with water wheel.

Wax Museum (Museo de Cera)

Particularly popular with visitors to Benidorm, the Wax Museum can be found close to the Church of the Carmen and contains more than 100 lifelike waxworks of famous people, ranging from singers such as Elvis Presley, to film stars including Charlie Chaplin amongst others. Created by famous waxwork sculptor Jose Ballester, other highlights include models of members of royal families, well-known politicians and a number of fictional characters. The Wax Museum is also home to Benidorm's Museum of Erotic Art.
